“I had my session with Stephen about four weeks ago. It has been a game changer. For the first time in a long time I’m being kind to myself. I thoroughly recommend and thank him for giving me my confidence and self-belief back.”

What people say after working with me.
Choosing a therapist is personal. Qualifications and explanations matter, but sometimes you also want to hear from somebody who has already sat in the chair.
These are genuine words from people I have worked with. They describe their own experiences; they are not a promise that everybody will have the same result.

“I am still me… but a brighter, healthier version of me.” — Ian, Greater Manchester
Different people, different reasons
There is no single story about coming to therapy.
Some people contact me because anxiety has returned. Some have reached the point where poor sleep is affecting the rest of their life. Others simply know that something needs to change.
The reviews below are not clinical evidence and they cannot tell you exactly how you will respond. What they can show is how different people experienced the conversation, the session and the support afterwards.
In their own words
Feedback I am proud to share.
“I messaged Stephen via his website and he emailed me back to arrange a consultation phone call. I went on to have two sessions. In the week after the second session my sleep was improving every single night to a point where I feel back to my best. Stephen’s practical knowledge of sleep and the mind is phenomenal. I can’t thank him enough.”
“I came across Stephen’s webpage and attended a session in January 2026. It was a truly enlightening experience. I am still me, rather a different and brighter, healthier version of myself. I listened to the tailored recording every single day for five weeks, and still ‘top up’ twice weekly. What a difference it has made. Stephen is an amazingly inspiring man.”
“I have suffered from anxiety and depression for many years. I have had every kind of counselling you can think of which didn’t help. In desperation I decided to try hypnotherapy. Stephen was very welcoming. That night I actually fell asleep without the meditation recordings I have listened to for years. I can really recommend Stephen’s services, I can’t tell you the difference he has made to my life.”
“I would like to thank Stephen for his tremendous support. I was experiencing health issues which restricted my movements. Stephen worked closely with me, untangling my thoughts and perceptions, and step by step helped me to let go and move on with a new frame of mind. Now I am a healthy and fit individual who only wishes I had done this years ago.”
“Stephen helped me to address the root cause of my anxiety and stress. I found the voice recordings a useful tool, listening most nights before bed for three weeks, which reinforced my ability to calm down and improved my sleep quality. Stephen has RTT techniques to explore the deep unconscious and help overcome the negative loop of thoughts and emotions.”
“I found it so easy to go into hypnosis and Stephen talked me through the whole process. He took me back to scenes that helped me understand why I had felt this way my whole life, and listening to the recording has been a blessing.”
“I went to my first session feeling very nervous, thinking I couldn’t be hypnotised. Stephen was very welcoming and instantly made me feel at ease. Before I knew it I was in a calm, relaxed, sleep-like state but still aware of what was happening. We uncovered a few things about myself and I’m intrigued to find out more.”
“I was a little apprehensive of alternative therapies such as hypnotherapy. However, Stephen eased me into treatment and was very calm and professional. He brought out other issues I hadn’t addressed, and I feel more confident to seek further support.”
“I was feeling stuck in a rut in a stressful job, with a stressful home life and anxiety. Stephen immediately put me at ease. In a state of relaxation I hadn’t felt before, he helped me identify my true preferences, the things I would like to pursue. I came away with a much clearer idea of my future path and a lovely feeling of wellbeing. I would definitely recommend Stephen.”
“I didn’t expect hypnotherapy to work on Zoom but I was wrong. Stephen explained techniques that helped quickly to relax me. I had been unhappy in my role for a long time, but after just two sessions I feel able to make positive changes and, with Stephen’s coaching experience, find a job I love.”
“Stephen prepared me for the hypnotherapy, explained everything, and guided me through looking into problems from the past. I felt relief at the end of the session, refreshed and like a brand new person. Highly recommend him if you need to deal with issues nobody else can help with, and if it is your first time having hypnotherapy.”
What sits behind the feedback
I want the way I work to feel clear from the beginning.
A good review matters to me, but so does the process that came before it.
A conversation comes first
Nobody books straight into a session. We speak first, you ask questions and we decide whether working together feels right.
The work is personal
I read your intake information carefully and create a recording using words and ideas that have meaning for you.
Support continues afterwards
I normally check in personally within the first few days, again during the following week or two, and once more at around three to four weeks. The timing is flexible and shaped around the individual. You are not simply sent home and forgotten.
Independent places to read or leave feedback
You do not have to rely only on the words selected for this page.
You can also visit Trustpilot or Facebook Recommendations. If we have worked together and you would like to leave feedback, you can use Google, Facebook or Trustpilot. There is never any pressure to do so.
The feedback I value most often tells me that somebody felt listened to, understood and treated as an individual.

A few honest answers
What reviews can—and cannot—tell you.
Are these reviews genuine?
Yes. Some were posted publicly on Google. Others were sent to me directly, by letter, email or message, and each person has given permission for their words to be used here.
Why are some surnames not shown?
Where somebody has posted publicly, their public name may be shown. For private feedback, I agree how the person would like to be identified and protect their privacy.
Does a five-star review mean the same thing will happen for me?
No. Everybody arrives with a different history, concern and set of circumstances. Reviews describe individual experiences, not guaranteed outcomes.
Can I speak to you before I decide?
Yes. We always begin with a free 20–30 minute telephone conversation. You can tell me what has been happening, ask questions and decide whether I may be the right person for you.
